BOM Functionality
We have added BOM functionality on quote/orders screen using BOM option and sub options. As soon as user add BOM item and its options to Sage CRM quote/Order, price will get calculate accordingly.
We have added a new BOM Item button on the line item screen, which appears only if the selected line item is a BOM item. The user can click on the BOM Item button to select the options. User can select the options for the option categories. The selected BOM Item options will be added to the BOM options column and the description will be displayed.
To Enable the Bom functionality user will have to make the below changes in the translation:
BOMaccess : For this user will have to navigate to Administration → Customization → Translations. Find BOMaccess in Caption Code and make BOMaccess =true as shown in below screenshot.
IsBOMItem: For this user will have to navigate to Administration → Customization → Translations. Find IsBOMItem in Caption Code and make IsBOMItem=true as shown in below screenshot.
Once the above setting is done user will then have to provide metadata refresh. For this user will have to navigate to Administration → System → Metadata.
Steps to add BOM items and Options through New Line item screen: 1. Create a Quote/Order. 2. Click on New line item button present on Quote/Order screen. 3. Add a BOM item. Once the user selects a BOM item, the BOM item button will be visible on New line entry screen. Refer below screenshot.
Click on BOM item button. Once the user clicks on the BOM item button user will see all the options for the selected BOM item on a new popup.
User can a click on the magnifying glass icon to search the billing components for the selected BOM option and then can select the component and can save the options. Refer below screenshot for the same.
