# Resource Planner – Main Screen
The **Resource Planner** is used to manage resource-based users available in Sage CRM. It provides a centralized calendar view with a range of filters and controls that help users schedule, monitor, and manage resources efficiently.
The columns displayed in the Resource Planner represent the users and resources that have been configured to appear within the planner.
Time periods that have already passed are displayed in **grey**, indicating that new entries cannot be created for those time slots.
#### Navigation Controls
The Resource Planner toolbar provides several controls for navigating and viewing the planner.
Users can:
* View a specific date.
* Navigate through different dates.
* Display information by **Day**, **Week**, or **Month**.
* Change the visible date range.
These controls make it easy to move between different planning periods and review scheduled activities.
#### View Options
Additional controls are available to customize the Resource Planner display.
The available view options include:
* **View By** – Displays the Resource Planner by **Day**, **Week**, or **Month**.
* **View Now** – Moves the planner to the current system date and time.
* **From Now** – Displays the planner from the current system time through the remainder of the business day.
* **Full Day** – Displays the complete business day, with elapsed time shown in grey.
#### Weekly and Monthly Views
In **Week** and **Month** views, scheduled tasks are displayed as icons within the calendar.
Moving the mouse pointer over a task icon displays summary information about that task, allowing users to quickly review scheduled activities without opening the task record.
