Clauses can be edited or new clauses can be created at any time.
**Create a Clause** To create a new clause: 1. Right-click **New** from the Sage CRM menu.
2. Select Clause. 3. Enter the required information. 4. Save the clause.
The following information is maintained for each clause:

EditableIf the clause can be edited when attached to a Contract
ReferenceA reference number for your numbering convention
NoteAny note you may wish to add. For internal use.
**Attach Clauses to a Contract** Contract clauses are created by copying clauses from the Clause Library into a contract.
To attach a clause: 1. Open the required **contract**. 2. Navigate to the **Clauses** tab.
3. Click Attach Clause.
4. The Find Clause screen displays the **Clause Library**.
5. Select the required clause. A copy of the selected clause is attached to the contract and becomes available under the **Clauses** tab. Changes made to the attached clause affect only that contra
