# Configure SMTP Settings
**CRM Contract Manager** uses email notifications to send emails to the **Line Manager** and **Supplier** during the contract approval workflow. To ensure these notifications are delivered successfully, the SMTP settings must be configured correctly.
**Configure Email Settings**
1. Navigate to **Administration → Email and Documents → Email Configuration.**
2. Enter the required **SMTP configuration** details.
Save the configuration.
**Configure SMTP Password**
In addition to the Email Configuration settings, the SMTP password must also be configured within Sage CRM.
1. Navigate to **Administration → Customization → Translations.**
2. Search for the **Caption Family:** SMTP.
3. Locate the **Caption Code**: SMTPPassword.
4. Open the caption and enter your **SMTP** server password in the **US Translation** field.
5. Save the changes.
Once these settings have been completed, the configuration of CRM Contract Manager is complete.
