# Acumatica

This document outlines the essential prerequisites required to successfully integrate with **Acumatica ERP**. It applies to integrations with eCommerce platforms, POS systems, third-party applications, or middleware solutions.

***

### 1. System Access Requirements

#### Acumatica Instance Access

Ensure the following details are available:

* **Base URL** (e.g., `https://yourcompany.acumatica.com`)
* **Tenant Name** (for multi-tenant environments)
* **Environment Type**:
  * Sandbox (for testing)
  * Production (for live transactions)

***

#### User Credentials

* **Username**
* **Password**
* **Assigned Role with API Access Permissions**

> ⚠️ Ensure the user has sufficient rights to access required screens and entities.

***

### 2. API & Web Services Configuration

Acumatica integration is primarily API-driven using REST or SOAP endpoints.

#### 🔗 REST API Enablement

* Enable **Web Services Endpoint**
* Use the **Default Endpoint** or create a **Custom Endpoint**

**Required Details:**

* **Endpoint Name** (e.g., `Default`)
* **Endpoint Version** (e.g., `20.200.001`)
* **API URL Format:**

  ```
  https://<instance>/entity/<endpoint>/<version>/
  ```

***

#### 🔐 Authentication Methods

* **Basic Authentication** (Username/Password)
* **Cookie-based Authentication** (Session-based)
* **OAuth 2.0** (if configured)

***

### 3. Units of Measure (UOM) Configuration

* Ensure consistent **Units of Measure (UOM)** across all integrated systems
* Define **UOM conversions** in Acumatica where required
* Avoid mismatches (e.g., LB vs EA)

> ⚠️ Incorrect UOM mapping may cause transaction failures during synchronization.

Proper setup of prerequisites in Acumatica ensures a stable and efficient integration process. By aligning configurations, access controls, and data structures, businesses can achieve seamless automation and data synchronization across systems.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.greytrix.com/pre-requisites-for-integrations/acumatica.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
